Abstract |
| Performance evaluating methods for microprocessors at the design stage are considered: analytical models, cycle-accurate models, RTL-simulation, FPGA-prototyping. The paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of these methods. Also considered benchmarks for evaluating microprocessor performance. |
