Abstract
 The paper presents the adaptive envelope following algorithm for the transient and periodic steady-state analysis of analog integrated circuits. For numerical integration of envelope equations the variable order and variable time step integration algorithms are used. The adaptive algorithm performs the transient analysis in case of envelope integration failure. The numerical examples of transient and steady-state analysis are given.
