Abstract
 The paper examines segmented current-output digital to analog converter (DAC). Modeling of the DAC and nonlinearity research is presented. The influence of resistance mismatch on differential nonlinearity in R-2R and thermometer (fully-decoded) ladders is determined. The statistic analysis in terms of probability density function (PDF) and cumulative density function (CDF) of the integral nonlinearity is done in order to offer recommendations for high resolution DAC design.
