Pseudo-differential cascode output buffer for high-speed serial data transmission across a channel with high losses

Abstract
 This paper presents a new concept of pseudo-differential cascode output buffer for high-speed serial data transmission across a channel with high losses. The buffer is designed in 65nm digital CMOS technology, has deterministic jitter DJ=1.572ps, peak-to-peak output differential voltage VDIFFPPMAX=1.9Vppd and differential output return loss SDD22=-8dB at F=6.943GHz, it can be used at speeds up to 14Gb/s.
