The Method of Section Approximation for Grid Optimization for Standard Cell Library Characterization

Abstract
 This paper is devoted to the algorithms of grid generation for standard cell library characterization. Proposed algorithms are intended to reduce the computational costs while preserving acceptable accuracy of NLDM macromodels. The modification of binary search algorithm is proposed as well as new approach based on the approximation of grid-sections. The results of comparative analysis of different modifications of proposed algorithms are presented.
