Abstract
 The article describes the preparation of a new negatively photochromic spiropyran, which is promising for the creation of elements of molecular electronics and photonics, as well as memory devices. By studying the structural features and spectral-kinetic characteristics, their effectiveness as a material for this field of application is confirmed.
